| Abstract : Medical record image file means image of the paper chart by scanning. We already scanned medical records of discharged patient during 1986∼1997, approximately 280,000 volumes, which is the amount of 670 GB of file size and stored 1,500 CDs. We converted these files using New System and put them into Image Server that has 1.7 TB hard disk. Doctors became to see image charts in Server on their PC through the intranet. The system develops Shinchon Severance and Youngdong Severance together, it's possible to exchange image files between two hospital. We have plans to scan discharged medical records from 1998 to 2001 till 2004. Doctors will see these image files on the PC through web as soon as finishing scanning. Developing medical record image file system is the process between paper chart and electronic medical record and moreover it's a part of EMR. |
