국가암정보망의 인프라 구축을 위한 국립암센터의 활동현황

| Abstract : Though so much information on cancer has become available from thousands of websites in the worldwide, well systematically organized National Cancer Information Network (NCIN) is also needed in Korea, which can keeps fully aware of the latest cancer information about both the clinical and research fields. The strategies for constructing the NCIN in National Cancer Center (NCC) are like followings; the NCIN include i) construction the national cancer databases such as the cancer statistics and registry, cancer clinical and research resources including manpower, facility, tissue specimen, and cancer-related literatures including complete publications from NCC, practice guidelines, full text of several medical journals, the latest oncology news service, and an extensive calendar of cancer meetings and education courses, ii) offering the cancer information service accessible to the public regarding all types of cancer, iii) development the cancer clinical information system in which clinical information of each cancer cases can be loaded, and to facilitate relevant large-sample clinical studies. This report outlines the ongoing activities performed in NCC that is the basis for establishing the NCIN according to above strategies. Efforts are continuing to construct, provide more value-added cancer information databases on the NCC web server and to link the server with other top-class cancer information centers worldwide. |
