Abstract : Tissue microarray (TMA) is a high-throughput array-based technology to examine hundreds of tissue samples on a single glass slide. TMA has been an important tool to validate the marker gene from the analysis of DNA microarray. TMA data, however, have difficulty in exchanging and disseminating to one another as each research has data in different format. Clinical and pathological information applied to TMA analysis also has different types and descriptions. To resolve these problems, researchers will finally need a standardized data model. Accordingly, in this study, a new object model expressible various clinical and pathological information will be suggested by object oriented modeling that has high expressivity, flexible presentation and easy maintenance of model. The object model consists of three different models for experimental process, clinical and pathological information. The model for experimental process is created by referring to MAGE-OM (Microarray Gene Expression - Object Model) that is a standard for DNA microarray. The models for clinical and pathological information are done by using Common Data Elements by National Cancer Institute. Through TMA-OM, it becomes possible to perform integrative interpretation of immunohistological information and expression profile on a gene.
