Abstract : The purpose of this study was to develop a Web-based learning program with mechanical ventilator management and evaluate its effects. A quasi-experimental, one group pretest-posttest design was used with convenience sampling of 54 senior nursing students of C university in the city of Gwang-Ju. Data were collected from April 6 to 30, 2004, and analysed using descriptive statistics and paired t-test. The results were as follows. 1) They gave middle scores in the learning contents, structure and interaction of the program(Mean¡¾SD:3.13¡¾0.63¢¦3.63¡¾0.86). 2) There was significant improvement in the score on learning achievement of the pre-test compared with that of the post-test(t=-11.56, p=.001). In conclusion, These results suggest that Web-based learning program is effective for the nursing management of patient with mechanical ventilator.
