Abstract : ICNP was evaluated as the most appropriate and well structured terminology system among the standardized nursing terminology systems in the nursing field, and ICNP was also used by mapping in establishing standard nursing statements in electronic medical recording system that was developed for the first time in Korea. However, due to simple mapping between nursing record and ICNP terms, relationship between the concepts in statements was not clear and it appeared to not have enough expressions for clinical use and it resulted in the need for standardized statement. Also, its clinical usage needed to be studied although ISO model was used as reference terminology model for nursing concept structure. This study was to establish the model, standardized statement for various clinical uses. Pain related 834 nursing statements were collected and analyzed with 7 axes from ICNP and 2 axes (property and condition) that were added by researchers of this study. The relationship between axes then were studied and mapped with ISO model. New model was suggested after, and structure of nursing statement and relationship between the statements were also studied.
