Abstract : This study was conducted to evaluate nurses' satisfaction for interface with Nursing Information System to verify the effects of nursing information system in the clinical field. The participants for this study were nurses from two hospitals in Kyeongbuk. Nurses' satisfaction of interface with Nursing Information System was evaluated with QUIS(Questionnaire for User Interaction Satisfaction) developed by Human Computer Interaction Laboratory in University of Maryland(1988). There is a difference in user satisfaction between two hospital, however, no difference according to nurses' length of career. Using regression model, the effects of screen, terminology, learning, and capability on general satisfaction were analyzed. F value of regression model was 29.36 showing statistical significance and high explanation ability with 41.29 as coefficient of discrimination. Screen, terminology, and capability were significant factors in A hospital, and screen and learning in B hospitals. The results of this study suggest that characteristics of hospital system and environment as well as factors such as screen, terminology, learning, and capability need to be considered to develop hospital information system with high user interface.
